So What Is Cognitive Hypnotherapy

Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy is, essentially, the combination of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy with traditional Hypnosis. It is a highly rewarding process which looks at how the way you act, feel and think colour your present experience and perception of your world.Together we will uncover what is holding you back, your fears and limiting beliefs. With my guidance and support, you will learn how to release those parts of you that you have been causing you to dim your natural light. This isn’t magic. Nor is it a quick or temporary fix. Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy restructures your thoughts and actions. You will leave with your own personally designed toolbox of techniques and a deep-rooted trust in yourself to be able to cope in the future. So, I’m sorry to disappoint, but I don’t own a pocket watch and will not be asking you to “look deep into my eyes”. You will not run around the room clucking like a chicken or fall asleep whenever I click my fingers…What I will do, however, is empower you with the understanding and tools you need to be the brightest and happiest you!

How Can Cognitive Hypnotherapy Help Me?

Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy is a modern, evidence-based approach developed by recent discoveries in neuroscience. Hypno-CBT (HCBT) is the integration of social, cognitive and behavioural psychology with traditional hypnotism as well as drawing upon the most effective elements of Positive Psychology and Neuro-Linguistic Programming. HCBT tackles both destructive, ineffective behaviour and unhelpful, negative thinking patterns allowing you to feel empowered, inspired and in control of your life.

Putting Your Needs First

Every single client is different and you will no doubt have your own set of unique requirements. That’s why I use my experience with different therapeutic techniques such as Hypnotherapy, CBT, Applied Relaxation, Mindfulness and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, to tailor a programme to suit your individual needs. It’s by adapting every session to you, that we are able to work towards the long-lasting changes you desire. A lot of hypnotherapists will use the same methods and techniques on a range of their clients; unlike them, I have no set scripts and my sole aim is to ensure you get the most out of every session. You’ll even leave with your very own ‘tool-box’ equipped with skills that will enable you to relax and practice self-hypnosis for your continued wellbeing.Curious about what a session of Cognitive Hypnotherapy looks like? Is It Safe?

Yes, Hypnotherapy is a safe, fast and effective therapeutic process. It has been approved by the British Medical Association (BMA) and the British Medical Journal (BMJ) as well as being supported by the National Health Service (NHS), for being a safe complementary therapy that can help with a wide variety of problems.I am a member of the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR) which implements the highest standards of training and professional ethics among all of its members. I also gained a diploma from the UK College of Hypnosis & Hypnotherapy, which is the only recognised hypnotherapy qualification for CPD by the British Psychological Society.

Alexandra has really helped guide me through releasing some of the negative thoughts I have been carrying around. I feel much lighter as a result and feel like the gates have opened to a more positive way of viewing life and all that it has to offer. I have really enjoyed working with Alexandra she has been a wonderful mentor. I had no previous knowledge of hypnotherapy before but would definitely recommend it for anyone struggling with inner thoughts that are limiting how they experience life.
